2024 MMMusicians Winter Term Christmas session

We said goodbye [zài jiàn ] to this term by having a great Christmas session last Saturday.

The classroom turned to a snowy ground and we heard the strong north wind [běi fēng] blowing and saw the worms [chóng ér] hibernating. The snow (xuě) also dropped on top of our heads and we really felt the winter atmosphere here.

On the last day of our winter term, it was also the winter solstice. We then learned to make the delicious sticky rice balls [cuō tāng yuán] with friends. These round [yuán] and sweet [tián] rice balls looked very yummy, thanks mummy for serving us!

Wait, we seemed to see the baby shark [shā yú bǎo bǎo] creeping in the classroom to celebrate the happy [kuài lè de] Christmas [shèng dàn jiē] with us!

We played handbells with the Jingle-bell song and learned the size of bells, big [dà] & small [xiǎo]. We also learned the story of Santa got stuck while coming down the chimney, followed by asking his friends' help--bear [xióng], reindeer [lù] and snowman [xuě rén ]. Lastly, we lit up a candle to sing Silent Night, and gently blow the fire [huǒ ] off.

We've had a fantastic term! Thank you to all the wonderful parents for your cooperation and support. Your singing was truly beautiful! Wishing you and the little ones a wonderful holiday, and I look forward to seeing you in the joyful new year!
